With all our World festivals overlapping & some coming around the same belt of time in the Year, God keeps trying to move us to understand the Oneness of our Consciousness. That we are fragments of that One Oversoul called the God Energy.
Dahi Handi (dahi: buttermilk, handi: earthen pot) is an Indian festival, celebrated every August, that involves making a human pyramid & breaking an earthen pot filled with buttermilk tied at a convenient height. This event is based on the legend of the child-god Krishna stealing butter. It is mostly popular in the state of Maharashtra & Mumbai. It is part of the main festival Gokulashtami, which is known as Krishna Janmashtami in the rest of the country, & celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna.
Navroz is festival of the Zoroastrians & heralds the beginning of the Parsi New Year, when you pray to God to fill your life with all the Universal Good.
So, today & everyday let's do our best & break the Pots of our ignorant, veiled, dogmatic minds, the Pots of unforgiveness, hurt, judgment & resentments & fill the Pots of our Lives with Love, Love & Only Love of God; so that we may live with compassion, kindness, forgiveness, respect, tolerance, brotherhood, & Oneness with all of Humanity & Creation.
